LaIA Club Triatlón Leganés Español

A Club Triatlón Leganés project

Your Garmin data, read through your club's training method.

LaIA will be the training tool for the club's members. With their permission, it will read their Garmin Connect™ data, explain every morning how they are doing, and send the week's workouts to their watch.

Current status

LaIA is under development. Today it is only used by a small pilot group of members who have agreed to test it. It is not yet open to the rest of the club's members.

The connection with Garmin Connect will be made through Garmin's official APIs once Garmin approves the club's access to its developer program.

How it will work

Four steps, and the member decides at the first one

Nothing starts without the member's permission, and they can withdraw it at any time.

1

Authorise on Garmin

The member will connect their account on Garmin's own page. LaIA will not receive their password.

2

LaIA reads their data

Activities, heart rate, sleep and recovery: only what it needs to coach them.

3

Every morning, a summary

How they slept, how their load is going and what suits them today, in plain language.

4

Every Sunday, their week

LaIA plans their workouts and sends them to their Garmin Connect™ calendar, so the watch guides them step by step.

What it will do

Built for a club, not for a lone athlete

Garmin already measures very well. LaIA adds what a watch cannot know: the club's plan, its training groups and its coaches' judgement.

Analysis

Load, fatigue and progress

For each member and the coaches they authorise, using the formulas of the club's training method.

Planning

Structured workouts on the watch

Intervals, runs, swim and bike sessions, with their zones, sent to the member's Garmin Connect™ calendar.

Club

Group sessions

Swimming, running intervals, long runs and bike rides, fitted into each member's plan.

Assistant

A connector for your AI assistant

Members will be able to connect their own assistant (for example, Claude) to ask about their training or request a one-off session. Nothing reaches the watch without their confirmation.

What it will look like

An example week

Screens are indicative and the data is made up. Every piece of data coming from Garmin will be shown next to the device that recorded it.

Insights derived in part from Garmin device-sourced data

I'm travelling tomorrow and only have 30 minutes. What should I do?
I suggest an easy 30-min zone 2 run instead of the 45-min one. Your week stays on plan. Shall I send it to your watch?
Yes, send itNo

Principles

How LaIA will work

Numbers are calculated, not invented

Load, fatigue and zones come from fixed formulas. The AI only writes the explanation based on those numbers.

The member decides

They connect their account if they wish, see what is done with their data, and can withdraw permission at any time.

Garmin, always credited

Every piece of Garmin data will be shown with the device that recorded it, including in what the AI writes.

No advertising, no data sales

It is an internal club tool. It is not a commercial service and data is not shared with anyone for commercial purposes.

Who it is for

Only adult members of Club Triatlón Leganés and their coaches. It is not open to the public.

Who runs it

Developed and maintained by Roberto Macarrilla, member of the club's board and technical lead of the project.
